University 国际 Travel

The University of 雷德兰兹 has a long history of supporting faculty, 工作人员 and student international travel.

University-Sponsored 国际 Travel

What is University sponsored travel?

University-sponsored travel is defined as university faculty, 工作人员, postdoctoral 研究ers, 或研究生助理因其作为大学雇员的身份而旅行. Personal travel is excluded. 大学赞助旅行的资金必须由以下一个或多个提供:

1. 1. 大学; 
   2. a grant or contract that is managed by 大学;
   3. and/or a third party, but the purpose of the travel is due to the traveler’s position within the University.

Individual 教师/工作人员 Travel

大学赞助的教师/员工个人国际旅行是由资源资助或支持的旅行, such as employee time or funding, while employed by the University of 雷德兰兹. 

Group 国际 Travel

国际团体旅行需要教师/工作人员与学生和/或外部成员一起旅行.g., boards, alumni groups or other groups.

University-sponsored group travel includes global education opportunities organized, 发达, or administered by specific schools and colleges, 部门, 由国际旅行和活动咨询委员会批准的威尼斯人平台员工. 留学机会包括但不限于有学分和无学分的经历，如:留学项目, May Term travel courses, 实习, 领域的研究, 服务学习, 研究, volunteer or work programs, 浸没式程序, 奖学金, professional development activities, athletic teams travel, alumni travel programs, student club/organization trips, conferences and more. 

Travel Not Sponsored by the University

政策

威尼斯人平台将支持大学赞助的国际旅行目的地: 

• Level 1 and Level 2 U.S. 除非对参与者的健康有明显的风险，否则国务院(DOS)旅行建议, 安全, 或者是能够成功实现国际旅行目标的可能性. 学生旅行, we may also give consideration to infrastructure for student support including, but not limited to: University 工作人员ing, campus health centers, program center 工作人员ing, onsite local protocols and support for health, 安全 or immigration that may impact travel.

• University-sponsored travel to a Level 4 country is not supported; extraordinary circumstances may allow for level 4 travel but it is very unlikely. Travel with 本科 students will not be approved for level 4 countries.
• Other considerations for approval include CDC and WHO travel advisories, U.S. 财政部外国资产控制办公室(OFAC)的限制和大学适用的保险范围. 

Approval of 国际 Travel 

国际旅行和活动批准委员会(ITAAC)批准大学赞助的国际旅行和活动.

所有旅行都需要一名R的教职员工履行R负责校园官员或现场领导的角色和责任，这些角色和责任在旅行程序中定义, 批准与否取决于对当前全球和国内健康和安全状况的持续监测，直至大学项目的正式日期, 倡议, 或者赞助旅行.

• Current health and 安全 conditions pose unusual or significant risks; OR
• DOS/CDC/WHO/Treasury Department issues updated or revised advisories or regulations
• Changes to the University's applicable insurance policies

Register Individual U of R 教师/工作人员 国际 Travel

For risk management and insurance purposes, 威尼斯人平台要求所有大学赞助的国际旅行都要注册.

指令: 教师 or 工作人员 doing university sponsored independent international travel must:

• Register travel no later than 4周 prior to anticipated departure.
• 即使旅行的某些方面(如资金)尚未得到确认，也应在此截止日期前提交注册.
• Include airports and all countries you will transit or travel through.
• 如果您还要求国际旅行政策例外(前往或途经美国国务院三级国家), submit your request no later than 6周 prior to anticipated departure. Travel to a level 4 country is not supported; extraordinary circumstances may allow for level 4 travel but is very unlikely.
